Oocyte Freezing

It can get harder to conceive as you get older. Studies have shown that number and quality of the oocytes declines rapidly after about 30 years of age.

Oocytes that your body produces at a younger age is more fertile and the resulting embryos have a better chance of implanting successfully

IVF Access has the facility to vitrify or freeze your Oocytes without losing their viability, so that you can use them later. For this you will go through the IVF stimulation and Oocyte retrieval processes, and then the retrieved Oocytes are frozen. The success rates using frozen (vitrified) Oocytes compares favorably with the success rates for IVF cycles, in patients of the same age

It involves a course of IVF Stimulation for approximately 2 weeks followed by a procedure of Oocyte Retrieval. We then freeze them carefully and store them in liquid Nitrogen. The frozen Oocytes are kept under these conditions without deteriorating for a long time and can be thawed and fertilized at any point in the future, i.e., you can delay your conception without any limitations on ageing.

When you decide to start a family, you are use your frozen Oocytes. We will thaw at the appropriate time of your cycle and inseminate it with your husband’s sperm using intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The fertilized embryo is then transferred to your womb a few days later
